4 out of 5 stars A must for the test, wouldn't have read it otherwise   September 6, 2010

Well... If you want to pass the test for the UK citizenship, you actually must read this book.
I've lived in the UK for 8 years now and took the test last month: I probably could have answered up to 50% of the questions from my experience as a resident (if I wouldn't have read the book), and my British husband and friends wouldn't pass the test without reading it either. There are lots of statistics and history questions that you wouldn't know otherwise ('when did married women gain the right to retain ownership of their own money and property?' for example....)

5 out of 5 stars More than enough for the exam !   September 4, 2010

Bought this as needed to give the Life in the UK exam ; with a young child I just had time do read through once and that was more than enough as I passed with flying colours and so did my partner , also its a lot more reasonable here than from the official website. i would recommed all giving the test to read this through thoroughly and it should be enough.

A very good product for learning about life in the UK. Well presented information which is condensed and relevant. A good read.

5 out of 5 stars It cover all subjects   June 24, 2010

As the official guide for the life in UK test you don't need to read anything else, but if after reading it you don't feel confident you should consider buying a book with questions and answers to understand better how the test works.
